Plasma nitriding
Pulse plasma nitriding means case hardening through thermochemical enrichment of the case with nitrogen.
Pulse plasma nitriding
- Increased abrasion resistance as a result of higher hardness and strength of the case
- Reduction of the friction coefficient and thus improved gliding properties
- Reduced adhesion to wear partner
- Reduced reactiveness to surrounding reactive agents
- Minimum dimension change and only slight form change
- High surface hardness with suitable materials
By using state-of-the-art process equipment and controls, we are able to continuously monitor and control the structure and composition of the compound and diffusion layer. We have facilities that work with pulsed direct current plasma. This enables us to achieve an especially regular thermal treatment result.
Capacity/sizes
Components/workpieces with dimensions up to Rd. 700x2000, Rd. 800x1300. Individual parts up to large series.
Application fields:
Especially suited for readily processed parts, sintered parts, punching tools, moulds and valves. Materials like e.g. 16MnCr5, 42CrMo4, 34CrAlNi7
Pulse plasma carbonitriding means case hardening through thermochemical enrichment of the case with nitrogen and carbon.
